How do you make enemy surrender without close fight/chase? I know you need to shoot their sails/crew, but they most of the time just run away till the end of time. I'm interested in improving chances of that event when I don't need to chase and abordage.
From my observations they sometimes surrender when they have no sails and they sometimes surrender when I have many ships and I'm able to overrun them to that point when they have no direction to run away.
Second option is tricky and not always works, so I wan't to know when they will just surrender without circling them.
Do you have some observations on that topic?
When they surrender it's good for me, as I keep their crew and hull is full health... All the cool stuff. I'm ussualy able to hunt treasure fleet before first month passes by quickly jumping from one ship better one, but now I started my roleplay campaign and I wan't to make them surrender so I just take their load and let them go.
