I was considering buying this game, but i must know a thing:

If I play lan with some friends can we change the game speed?

Also, naval battles versus cpu or other players are auto-resolved or we can fight them?

Last but not least it works on 7 64 bit?

It works on Win7 64 bit,

Sea battles can either be played or auto-resolved.

I do not know about game speed for MP.

Yeah.. you can multi-play sea battles... but there isn't any pause or changing speeds... may the wind be with you!
