Hi, having played PR2, I know I can slowly put competitors out of business if I keep the prices low, is this a similar tactic in Port Royale 1?

There is no mention in the manual.

No

No such thing as going out of biz or Buying established biz or housing in PR1

Pr1 has Manny benefits and far greater freedoms but thats not one of em.

I have played pr1 for some time now and never noticed a single biz shut down because of port attack or stagnation
