Basically, I've just opened this account in order to buy Port Royale 1.
On Steam is available only PR2 but I think that the first game is better and probably even more challenging.
I'm not expert with this platform. Have you experienced many crashes in PR1?

I have experienced many crashes BUT there is a workaround whereafter I have had no crashes.

That's it? I mean, with older games most of the time you have to deal with that kind of things, unfortunately.
I remember I had a similar problem with Patrician III on Steam: I just selected 8 bits color from the game's properties file and it worked just fine. Well, good to know!

Yes, GOG do try to make so the games start on the OSs they list on the game's card.

I also prefer PR1 to PR2.

Port Royale works fine for me m8, I just tried to start the game.
Unfortunately the other game I bought on GoG (Gangster: organized crime) does not work properly.
It looks like I have just wasted 5 bucks!
