Dear GOG team,

please implement patch 1.03 for this game.

This will allow starting the game even on windows 10 without any compatibility settings.

The origin GOG version instead will crash, no matter which compatibility settings are set.

From what I remember that patch is unofficial and they can't just include it with their release, at least not without specifically working out a deal with its creators. There should at least be a sticky with a link to it, though.

Edit: Also, just tried it, the game will only start in software mode and with crappy performance. I hope I'll find a way to play it in hardware mode.

Edit 2: Oh, the crappy performance was caused by the compatibility setting. I had turned it off in "All users" but that didn't turn it off entirely, THEN I also had to turn it off for the current user. Now the game works just fine. Admittedly I'm still stuck with software mode but at least the performance is great now.

Edit 3: Okay, I celebrated too early. The framerate is good but I get frequent little freezes. Dammit.

Edit 4: Oookay, I additionally use dgVoodoo2 now, as described in this thread. The game works perfectly great now with hardware acceleration (and without all the graphical glitches I had even back in the day) and without the need to use any compatibility settings. Awesome!
