oh man, i'm such a plank, tried running the exe file in compatibility and it's working now

Still can't figure it out. Tried windows 95, win98, and winXP SP2. Can you describe exactly what you did?

Also try ticking the checkbox to run the program as an administrator on the Compatibility tab.

Thanks for the reply, but I ended up getting it to work by updating the atiumdag.dll file. Details here...

Took a bit of forum jumping to find that file, but I found it and it worked "almost" perfectly. The gameplay is fine, no issues with graphics, however when exiting or returning to the menu it some times does the buggy colour thing.

My bf will be pleased I got this for him :)
