Before Grim Fatango, before Monkey Island, even before King's Quest, there was Shadowgate. Now this classic is being re-imagined not just being re-made, re-imagined. This means the creator's will keep the basic things that make Shadowgate and improve them. New puzzles, new enemies, new design, new rooms and much more. All the while keeping the best parts of Shadowgate, if this interests you go to http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/zojoi/shadowgate?ref=live

Sorry if this is already a topic but any publicity is publicity and i badly want to get this pledged :)
Actually, King's Quest predates Shadowgate, originally published in 1983/1984.

Before King's Quest there were games such as Mystery House (first graphic adventure, 1980), and Wizard and the Princess (first color graphic adventure, 1980).

Shadowgate came out in 1987...

Other than that, I agree, I would like to see this project!

Oh.... I always assumed that King' Quest was afterwards but a simple mistake but still great game.
Shadowgate is definitely a cool game. I liked Shadowgate 64 too... That's a game that I wouldn't mind seeing a 'pc' port of...
