The only thing holding me back from purchasing this game is the fact that I could not get multiplayer to work on the original. Does it work in the GoG version of the game? If some people would be willing to test and report back, I'd appreciate it. If you can't get it to work over the internet normally, try Hamachi or Tunngle if possible. Thanks.

It does not. I'm told that LAN works but I know nothing about that or how to use it so I don't know for sure.

Any update on this? This is still one of the best multiplayer games ever made.
