I'm running into a game breaking bug here that's preventing me from playing the game at all.

It happens at random times in mission 14. The game will crash with the message that there was an MFC error.

I've tried both launching it from the gog client, and from outside the client running in 256 color mode (which makes the game run smooth).

The game has crashed in that mission 3 times now at random times, and it's a pretty long mission, so it's very frustrating.

Anyone know of a workaround?

*edit*

Crashed 4 times now. I just tried with the new EXE from this topic though that didn't help:

I tried contacting support, but they were fairly useless. However, I managed to fix it myself after a while, so I'm posting this in case anyone else runs into the same problem. Who knows it might help someone out there.

I fixed it by not calling in the helicopter in the mission. As long as I didn't do that, I was able to play through the level 4 or 5 times with no errors or crashes.
