SPOILERS!!!!!

Hello! This is the first time I need help! Spoilers obviously if you've never played Day 6!!

I am doing well so far in the game but I seem to be hitting some bug on Day 6. I hope someone here can help me! I went to the washroom and clogged it up, found cocaine in Morale's locker, talked to captain, went to coroner, went to hospital, got the stuff from burnt house, booked in the blood/hair sample from burnt house, went to the shrink, went to 255 Palm, knocked on door...everything look right so far?

So then I go to the Courthouse to get a warrant but everytime I go there, it says 'there's no reason to get out here.' What? I don't understand. I even checked FAQs and did everything by the letter and stuff I am not able to get out of the car to enter the courthouse. Am I missing something that the FAQs are not telling me?

P.S. I did NOT talk to the captain again when I went back to the station since he tells you to go back to the coroner.

Help!

The same thing happened to me and - unfortunately - I couldn't find any solution. I don't know the reason, either... maybe you failed to do somehing which can only be achieved in a previous day (like I did)? F.e. stealing Morales' key while she makes a phone call, breaking into his desk, going into the court on Day 4 to give testimony etc.
I grew so angry that I uninstalled the whole program and watched the remaining 10 minutes of the game on a video walkthrough.
Man, I didn't do any of the stuff you mentioned on the previous days! That's so lame. I don't think it should even let you advance to the next day if you didn't do an important thing : /
Dunno if I want to start over with a FAQ or just watch the rest on a video walkthrough so I can get started with PQ4 : /

I also encountered the same problem and was at a loss for quite a long time. Then another player told me you could stop and issue traffic tickets at day 1. I tried around for a bit and found out that at day one after you return to your patrol car after offering to supervise the arrest Officer Morales wanted to carry out on the pregnant lady driver, you MUST stay on the freeway by driving to the end, you will automatically make a U-turn and patrol the other end of the freeway. Each time you do a freeway run, you would encounter a driver with a traffic violation you could stop and issue tickets or let go. You will encounter two speeding motorists, one road-hogging motorist and one drunk driver in total. The road-hogging motorist you MUST stop and issue the appropriate and correct traffic ticket. If at any time you leave the freeway or after you find and get the drunk driver brought to jail, you will be radioed to attend to the stabbing that night.

What all these means is that on day 4, the unhappy road-hogging motorist will challenge your decision to issue him a ticket with a lawyer and hence you will receive a subpeona at your office to come to the courthouse. You will then be able to park your car at the courthouse. You get points for successfully getting the judge to give the guilty verdict on the defendant but a not guilty verdict will still enable you to park and enter the courthouse on day 6. After that courthouse hearing, your partner will ask again to use the phone at the mall, you will get your chance to obtain the key on her purse to break into her desk when the opportunity presents itself.

On day 6, you will then be able to park at the courthouse and ask for the search and judicial warrant from the same judge who presided the courthouse hearing on day 4. Remember to knock on the door of the crackhouse before asking the judge for the warrant, otherwise the game would also break and end up getting you stuck permanently because the game would think you have already shown the judge both the photo and the newspaper clipping, yet the judge seems to have forgotten and would continue to ask for evidence.

So, there were a lot of events missed and I replayed the game at least three times to find and watch this part, there was also another part where I saw the protagonist's wife wake up at the hospital visit on day 6; it didn't happen because I wasn't observant enough on the clipboard and call nurse button during the hospital visit on day 3 or 4 and I only saw this part on my last playthrough. This game does have its plot twists and turns, which is worth appreciating for an adventure game.
Woosk nailed it! (Bumping this thread just in case anyone else has this issue). This is a poorly designed game with a lot of illogical game-killing bugs, and you've run into the worst of them all.

I do have to point out though, that you would have been stuck later on anyway. Like woosk said, you are also supposed to go to the courthouse on day 4, and right after you've done at the courthouse on day 4 something important happens. But if you didn't pull over the low rider on day 1, the courthouse does not happen on day 4, which means the event that immediately follows the courthouse on day 4 also does not happen, and then you'd be stuck even later on in the game. You'd be killed every time you got to the end of the game and you'd never know what you did wrong. It's a by-product of very poor game design, something you don't expect from Jim Walls and you certainly don't expect if from Jane Jensen.
