I was wondering about the graphics options menu. It doesnt let me into the menu. also after i finish a championship race the game wont let me save. any one know what i can do to get these to work.

In the 3Dfx versions of POD the graphic options menu is always disabled.
Most likely because the 3Dfx hardware was expected to handle maximum settings and all resolutions without problems.
Only a few POD releases are able to run the game in 800x600. You can manually enable it by setting DisplayMode=6 in the UbiSoft\ubi.ini (however, the sky/background might not look that good in this mode).
The Glide wrapper included in the GOG release is hard-coded to 640x480 and you have to use PodHacks to enable it. Works as designed by the developers...
You can only save after every fourth race.
