Hello,

i have a problem:
The gog version of pod is running finde, but when i add dgVoodoo (1.50Beta2, API: Direct3D9, Resolution: 1920x1080) and PodHacks 3.5 the game starts, shows the Ubisoft and Pentium logo and then freezes.
Where is the problem?

My System:
Win 7 64 Bit
AMD FX-4170
XFX Radeon HD 6950 2GB
8GB Ram

FAHNENJOKER: Where is the problem?
I need a crash/memory dump to do more than wild guesses.
Therefore the answer is "I don't know" for now.

Did you run the PodHacks.exe and enabled it for the PODX3Dfx.exe?
Did you Alt-Tab to see possible message boxes in the background?
Did you try to switch to nGlide (e.g. "By desktop" and "4 : 3")?

I enabled the podx3dfx.exe, and there are no message boxes in the background. It doesn't work with nGlide either.

Now I just played a bit with the settings in PODHacks and it turned out that I had to switch the redirect cd audio to track02.wav Wave-out from PODHacks Music Player to my normal Speakers^^.

So much for that ;) Now it works perfektly, and wow those graphics look a hell lot better than before! Cool Hack, thanks!

Strange...
I tested it again on Windows 7 64-bit and had no problems with dgVoodoo (1.50 Beta 2) and nGlide (1.00).

What AntiVirus Software are you using?

ps: the freeze should be gone after 10 seconds - the internal timeout the library is waiting for the newly created "player" process ("PodHacks.exe --player" should be in the TaskManager process list).

I am using Avira Free Antivirus. The freeze isn't gone after 10 sec, but remains until i shut the programm down manually. I've tried it with your new PoHacks.dll + dgVoodoo + set back the wave-out to podhacks music player and thats still not working.

But nevermind, with setting it to my normal speakers everything is fine.

Well, Avira's heuristic tends to classify the PodHacks.exe as "generic packer" (because it does not use the standard C/C++ run-times).

This is a false positive.

I guess that the problem goes away if you add the PodHacks.exe to Avira's exception list.

ps: this morning Avira's Virus Lab processed my request:
