Hi guys... I just bought this game....had great memories playing this at my unlce's house when I was a Kid...
But I don't know basecally nothing about old pc hardware and software.... so I'm having problems on running this game (and some others) in my "modern" pc....
does anybody has any tips or suggestions to help me?
my pc is a i7, GTX970 with 16GB RAM running a windows 10 64bits

I know that those older games are not supposed to run perfectly in newer hardware... but I guess the real problem is my lack of knowledge!

Do you have a particular problem? I'm fine running POD Gold just by installing and launching it.

For me, the game is running extremely fast. I think the game engine speed is tied to the CPU clock. Is there any way to make it run at a normal speed without under clocking my processor?

I finally got it working with DxWnd. I think what fixes the sound stutter is checking the box to force the game to run in a single CPU core. As a bonus, DxWnd also runs perfectly on Linux with Wine. (dxwnd and the configuration file is included in the ZIP)

Do anyone still have copies of the PodHacks files and other modifications done over time? It seems all of these were removed for some reason, very sad.
My link up there will never expire, and I would be able to keep copies of these files on my personal server there.
