This is an uphill battle and a part of the problem, for me, is not understanding the game mechanics.
Food production has become an issue for me. on the other three planets, I would be selling excess veggies and other goods. on the storm planet, my colonist are starving. I have 4 very large, 1 large and 1 small bio-domes along with 6 viromeat cookers for 46 colonist.

I wonder about the weather and food production. there are so many days of full cloud cover, is the game taking this into account? and if so, where's the grow lamps? you can't send people to a planet with no sunlight and expect to grow stuff unless you have an alternate plan. where's the alternate plan?

The weather is also a nightmare for power production. the storm's cloud cover negates the solar panels and to make matters worse, no wind or a trickle of wind during most of the storms. collectors sounds like a fix, but day after day of cloud cover and lighting that finds holes in the lightning rod umbrella just adds to the management nightmare. and this seems to effect food production. if the power goes out in the storage dome, food rots. power goes out in the bio-dome, plants degrade. which doesn't make a lot of sense when taking the sunlight or lack of, into account, if that is the case..

What am I missing here?
Sorry I asked. last time gog.
Bio domes require a minimum amount of biologists to function correctly. my rule is 1 biologist to 3 plants at least. I usually have 1 or two extra per dome to keep the bio dome functioning and to take care of meat production. You also need storage domes to keep food from spoiling. Hope this helps.
