People have been able to get Planetbase 1.2.2 "beta" for over 40 days now on Steam and I still can not download it on GoG. I didn't buy the game in order to still have to download a pirated version of it due to lack of upkeep.

I am getting tired of devs treating GoG customers like secondary priorities; people that aren't really worth the time it takes to upload an updated version of the game (even if it is "beta"). If you had written clearly in the game description that you don't really care much about the GoG platform and that I was buying a crippled version of the game I wouldn't have felt the need to complain. All I saw was the same product "Planetbase" offered on two platforms and I simply picked my preferred one.

I completely agree not being able to play a beta that adds barely anything important (were is a new planet) and basically focuses on Steam's workshop is so traumatizing.

If you want to play Steam beta's buy on steam stop complaining.

The amount of content (or value) of the patch is irrelevant. It's the second time I've felt they haven't treated their customers the same. My money is just as good as the people buying on steam and as I said, had they told me I wasn't buying Planetbase on GOG but some kind of Planetbase Lite I wouldn't have felt the need to complain. I assumed it was the same product on both platforms however, no indication of it being otherwise was given.

I wouldn't buy on Steam even if it was half price over there, ever since they tried to ruin modding I've banned them from my wallet. I only support those that release outside of Steam's near-monopoly because I don't want PC gaming to go completely down the drain. Steam has become too big and it's clear Valve is abusing their position.

However buying from non-Steam sources only works if companies actually release the same product on all platforms. Not a superior product on Steam. So if you'll excuse me I'll complain just as much as I have to.
Most games today are betas anyway. I can wait.
Hi guys,

Version 1.2.2 is almost ready to go, we will release on both GoG and Steam simultaneously (probably next week).
The new version ads a new campaign with 3 new challenges.

Martiño.
Nice, downloading it right now. I'm sure it'll be lots of fun!

Doesn't change the fact that all developers need to start treating all platforms the same though, else Valve's influence will never diminish. People need to know that Steam is not a primary market above all else, that their purchase will have the same priority no matter where they spend their money.

Edit: It was a short but good little campaign.
