How do I add new challenges to the GOG version of Planetbase? How do I create my own?

I hope this isn't a Steam-only feature because it says that new ones can be created by players in the changelog on GOG:

"- Added support for challenges. Challenges are predefined scenarios that the player has to complete, they can also be used to create variations of the existing planets. There are some built-in ones, and they can also be created by the players."

Hello Mackam,

I had the same problem. It isn't only a Steam-feature ;). In the Steam forum you can find detailed instructions. It is a bit difficult, but it works. I hope I could help you.

Best regards

Hi to get challenges to work on the GOG version you just need to put them in your "Documents/Planetbase/Challenges" folder.
Could have used this info last year, maybe I'll try it out in 1.2.2 beta released last month. Wait, I think that version isn't for GoG users.

Where am I even supposed to find the challenges? The files I mean. Don't say Steam please... Surely there was an official guide somewhere last year that I missed?

Btw I appreciate the answer kannix2000, even though I didn't really see it until now. But having to go to the Steam forums for information about my game bought on GoG is so depressing. Is this where the bar is set nowadays? You buy on alternative platforms but you still have to rely on the near-monopoly giants for the final puzzle pieces?

1.2.2 hasn't been officially released yet, we posted a beta on Steam but the final version is coming to both platforms next week.
