I just bought the game yesterday. I launched a Survival mode today and I followed the tutorial. I managed to put down a printer schematic but when I get the multitool out and aim at the printer and click, nothing happens.

I assume you mean the emergency printer, go out of build vision and left click, this should 'weld' it together with the multi-tool. You cannot complete objects in build vision, only place their frame.

I did, I got the multi tool gun out, with the T key, I checked that I wasn't in build mode anymore, still wasn't able to do anything. The printer tooltip was displayed in the top left corner of the screen. I also tried to reload the tool...

Also, btw, the telemetrics is killing the upload on my network (pic).

Did the tool have a 'beam' coming out of it? Also, make sure to left click and hold - do you see the circle graphic around the cross-hair? Hold left click until this has gone all the way around to make a circle (I'll try and get a video to show you what I mean). Are you on the latest version - 0.6.7?

No beam coming out of the tool, I can't harvest anything either. I've clicked left and hold. Nothing happens, no circle, nothing. I've watched a few videos on yt. It looks like the game just doesn't work on my machine.
I'm on the latest version.

Anyway, the game runs poorly on my machine (it's not brand new but it's not a toaster either), the framerate is sluggish and the vegetation doesn't render properly when I move (the trees remain 2d sprites event when I get closer). I think I'm just unlucky with that game. I'll probably ask for a refund and maybe will get the game when it's done.

Yes it runs poorly on mine to, although the multi-tool works for me. Other than the usual update drivers, reinstall game, a refund for now might be a good idea if you can't get it to work. If the performance ever gets better on my machine, I'll post here to let you know.

If you still have the game, todays update might have fixed it!

Wow, it did in fact. I'm so glad I'm able to play the game, it really reminds me of Subnautica, which is a game I love.
