Why am I forced to install galaxy? it wasn't like this before. please change the installer or let me choose an older version.

More - Classic Installers. With the Galaxy infested installers you can also go to options and uncheck the Galaxy install. Complete BS decision to make the Galaxy ones the default.

Gydion: More - Classic Installers. With the Galaxy infested installers you can also go to options and uncheck the Galaxy install. Complete BS decision to make the Galaxy ones the default.
I don't actually understand why they felt the need to include Galaxy in a game's installer, when it's possible (and probably preferable) to just download and install it separately. Seems like a lame way to get more people to use Galaxy - yet it's likely having the opposite effect.

The 1600+ posts shitstorm thread in General. GOG's position is it's general users are too much of dumb bastards to download it separately and this change reduced their support burden. Instead of changing the Try Galaxy everywhere on the site to include why you would use it, Cloud Saves & Cheevios, they decided to hide it in all the offline installers of games that are Galaxy powered.

Define general? I think GOG just wants more of the STEEEAM crowd to buy their stuff. Some kids have been using STEAM all their life and have no idea how to manually install PC games at all.
