I wanted to play the game well so i tried to play it with a alk trough and it said strenght isnt much important because its light as it comes with fighting now im in the hives and every corner i get attacked since my ac is too high i get killed easely because nowhere you can rest.
Do I doing this wrong?
Those walkthroughs were written by powergamers with the goal of squeezing out every single dialogue XP ignoring that you loose more XP if you avoid combat with respawning monsters because of being a wimp and waste lots of time with unnecessarily hard combat.

Personally I don't like playing a wimp hiding behind party members but that's the powergaming style of most PST players.

Just hide behind other party members like Morte and try not to provoke the street thugs.

There are some locations where you can rest, you will find them. Dying is also an option for getting fully healed.

Dex and con kinda suck on that one. If I go for a brainy character, I minimize charisma and spread the points into physical stuff. A few side quests will call you to sacrifice HP maximum.

Find the trainer, switch to fighter class, put a proficiency point into something that other classes can use, then switch back. Daggers worked for my mage. Shop around for tattoos and charms that boost AC. Use Morte to explore so that he attracts the unwanted attention.

Thanks for the reply Im now prisinor in the catacombs where i went to get the bronze sphere.
I tend to think most walkthrough for CRPG are kinda useless (except the part of dividing the attributes point) because the game are very non-linear, path-wise and character wise. At the hive, you can rest at an old lady house, it's located at south-west of your map.

Thanks yeah found that too but i started over since it was really bad when you only got ac 10
You can have 10 ac and still feel invincible in PST. I'd just ignore AC and focus on hitpoints and regeneration instead.

I agree, AC will go down with items anyway, so you don't need to put lots of points into dexterity. Better to spend them elsewhere. If you want survivability you're better off putting them into constitution for hitpoints and regeneration. Or even strength for killing foes more effectively.

But the main thing is to NOT play the game with the use of a walkthrough (apart from starting attributes perhaps). The game itself is so amazing that it would be a crying shame to 'spoil' it by reading and following a recipe.
Speaking of AC going down with items, what's up with that? How does that work and for example the first ring you get, that traveler ring with 1 AC+ yet you lose 1 AC anyway..
It has to do with how AC is calculated. I have some mods so not sure if it works exactly the same with the default game options, but I assume so. So just keep in mind that having low AC is good, it makes you harder to hit. So a ring that improves AC by 1, will lower AC by 1.

It works the same way as in Baldur's Gate (at least on my Torment game).

Edit: To expand on that, here is a good FAQ that explains the basics: http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/75251-baldurs-gate/faqs/8566

Armor Class isn't really about armor. It is the composite of Armor and
Dexterity that determines how hard it is for a damaging hit to be made.
The base Armor Class (AC) is 10. Anything lower is better and makes your
character harder to hit. It does NOT reduce the amount of damage taken.

Thats the only thing i wanted the walktrough for because stats are important in this game.
