Ok, just talked to the pillar of skulls and find out all the morte story. My problem is that now, i have to go back and i cant cause my party is almost dead, i have no blood drops, no healing spells and cant rest. And, as soon as i leave the area with the pillar, a lot of enemies appear... So, what i can do to go back?

Well if you can not fight you might just have to run for it.

You have to get from the entrance to the pillar of skulls (in the south-east) across to the portal entrance in the south west . The problem is that there are two spawn points in between, also I hope you did not let the pillar see Morte or the trip is a bit harder.

Hopefully if you get close enough to the portal the dialogue will open that allows you to escape.

What happens if you get killed there ? Do you awake healed at a safe location like in most parts of the game ?

and what if not only i, but my whole party is almost dead. yes the pillar saw morte (altough i dont even know how it could not be seen). there are a lot of characters too that dont want to tell things in front of Fall-from-grace (she's a fiend). So, what happens if, say, i run and get through the portal but annah, for example, gets killed.

Also, what's the deal with the damicel in distress ,in the west section of the area?
just run to the south west without getting no one killed but i cant found any portal. My journal says i need a piece of the plane, but i dont know what it means with it. Morte could be?, as it's a skull from the pillar here on baator?

Generally when you talk to the pillar it is best to leave all companions at the entrance of the area. If I remember right when the pillar sees Morte it will demand his return as you go to leave. If you refuse a Cornugon and four Black Abishai will spawn in the Baator area.

As for escaping; did you ask either Fhjull Forked-Tongue back in the Outlands or the Pillar for the way out? One of them has to tell you that you have to cut your tongue on a piece of obsidian in the south west corner. When you get close enough to the portal location you should be prompted to pick up a piece of obsidian and cut your tongue.

As for the DID (damsel in distress), it is a trap. If you rush to her aid she will transform into a Green (I think..) Abishai and will attack you along with the other Abishai and a bunch of Lemures. In Baator everything is an enemy, you really are not safe anywhere.

I think you should be able to use your raise dead ability to bring back anyone you dies in baator but I cant remember (it has been awhile). Just keep a save as a backup in case you cant.

I am desperate .... I can't activate the portal to Baator after talking to the pillar of skulls. I come back in the first location and find a lot of demons but i cant open the dialog box to cut off my tongue with obsidian even if I am in the right place
I have all the information I need (hope so)
please don't me that it is a bug

;(((
solved ... I had to go back in saved game and return to talk with Forked Tongue. Among the dialogues there was the automatic passage although for me it is still half bug because from Baator you could not go back directly

Hi, fortunately, there is an alternative solution.

I know this is a post from 2014, however I got stuck in the same thing today, 2021, so it may help somebody. The alternative way is to ask the Pillar of Skulls, one of the last available questions on the list is "How can I leave this place" or similar. They will tell you about the tongue, the portal, the obsidian etc. - it worked for me and the portal finally opened. However, there is a cost to that - the Pillar of Skulls willl lower your max health by 15HP.
For those playing warrior and like I did put points in stats other than Int and Wis... the Fork-Tongue dialog is not an option and you have to eat the -15 Max HP from the pillar (or sacrifice a party member) to get them to reveal the gate and key.

Apparently you have to have Int or Wis of 16 or greater to get the Fork-Tongue option.
