And I'm not talking about if I should install mods or not, or what stats to put in...but simply the topic of, "Should I use a guide or walkthrough?"

You know, I always try to kinda...make the game my own, you know? Especially in a game like this where it's kinda like a "multiple paths" game, what with how you choose different stats and how you choose to handle events, what's the point of this kind of game when all your choices really aren't your own? And of course I think it's better to play through the game independently without relying on a guide.

I once played Ocarina of Time step by step by following a guide... I mean, I still enjoyed playing the game, but I really felt like...I dunno, that playing a game by following a guide step by step is just kind of...bad, idk. I played Final Fantasy 6 step by step with a video walkthrough, too, and some other games, and I felt the same way when I 1-hit Kefka with X-fight with 9999 on each hit.

So I just got out of the Mortuary and I'm kinda having trouble of where to go and what to do. I started reading the top rated guide on GameFAQs to find out what to do, but right off the bat, I'm instructed that Wisdom is the most important stat. And that's the one stat I did not put ANY into.

You get my point? Should I be worried about my character being completely skewed towards the end of the game? Or do you think that using a guide will overall detract from my Planescape experience? What are your guys' thoughts?

PS:T has very little combat that's actually required, and the NPCs that you recruit can handle most of it if you happen to build your TNO into someone who's completely useless in combat. Plus there's the fact that TNO quite literally can't die (a central point of the story). One of the greatest strength's of PS:T is that the game can provide very different experiences depending on how you build your character and the choices you then make. So I would say that PS:T is a game where you should definitely NOT use a guide; build and play your version of TNO however you want to, and if you ultimately don't like the way that causes things to turn out at the end then that's just a good reason to play the game again while playing TNO in a different way.

No, definitely not. Using a walkthrough will spoil the plot immensely. As to worrying about your stats, don't worry; you have at least average level of each stat, so you won't wind up missing something critical by your character having 2 INT *coughFalloutcough*; whatever build you use, it will get you through the game just fine. You will actually gain stat points fairly quickly, in case you are worried about not having high stats all around, both by leveling and certain interactions in the game. Also, you can purchase tattoos that boost your stats if you need a quick fix, and you will acquire more than enough money over the course of the game to purchase enough for everyone.
Hmm, I see, I see...
