Does anyone else's game slow down to a crawl when an item (shelf, door, etc) is selected but then goes back to normal when the cursor is moved away? It's not exactly game breaking, but it is annoying. Everything else works fine, is there any way of getting rid of this?

I had the exactly same issue, but i have just found a way to fix it. All you have to do is to download little file and install it like any other WeiDU mod (which means you have to unpack the archive in your PST directory, run the setup-nvidia_fix.exe and follow instructions on screen). You can find more about this fix by reading [url=http://www.shsforums.net/topic/30840-ie-games-and-nvidia-series-8-video-cards/]THIS thread (apparently this works not only for PST but also for some other Infinity Engine games, namely BG1 and IWD2, but i didn't test them as they work perfectly for me)

Just one more thing - when you use this patch be sure to disable all "software something" options in video settings. I've found, that turning them on with the fix installed leads to a massive slowdown.

Thanks for the reply, but it seemed to begin working fine after I got out of the mortuary. I also did find that disabling hardware acceleration worked, but left a bad mouse trail in menus.

I have the same problem. To me it is almost game-breaking, as it also sometimes happens in battles which makes the part of the game I like least even more annoying. I am currently trying varios mods and Patches - maybe a solution will come up.

Using Windows 7, 32bit

If there is any known fix - I would love to hear of it.
