i got & started playing tis game last nite, im playing on a small notebook , think the screen size is 10.1.when playing game screen is a small box in the middle with big black box round the edges. im thinking i need to change my screen resolution ( to 1024x600) but cant seem to find a way to do it.
ive read the other posts about screen resolution but have just ended up more confused, ive never used mods or patches. usually ther is a config option b4 goin into the game that i can use.
any help would be much apreciated but please keep it simple i dont understand the jargon.

PST is fixed at 640x480. There's no way to change it natively. However, there is a widescreen patch, which is located in the mods guide sticky here. Using the widescreen patch you can change the resolution to pretty much whatever you want, though you may have to change some options in your GPU settings as well.

thanks, had a look at that but think i will just have to stick to a wee box cause that lot was just uncomprihensable to me.
