Basically, I want to do away with the stupidly arbitrary party limit of 6 and have all 8 possible party members following me around at the same time. Google has failed to yield any fixes so I was hoping some of you knew a way to sort it out.

Help?

I don't think it's possible unfortunately.

The 6-member party limit is probably hardcoded in the Infinity Engine itself since all the games made with it share that limit. That means it can't be modded without the source code, which is not available.
Well according to Google it would seem that you're right. Naturally, I am not amused...
It's hardcoded to 6 and the UI is also limited to 6.
Has anyone been able to find a way for that? I just met Nordom and I dont wanna give up any of my companions. I have grown fond of all of them so far. Annah, Dakkon, Fall from Grace, Ofcourse Morte and even Ignus. They are all very useful as well.

Side question. Has Nordom have any impact on the story like the others? He starts with 36K experience, around 200K below others.

The best way to keep Nordom is to use the PST Tweaks Pack and ensure that the Save Nordom! feature is enabled. Then when you talk to him in the maze, you can get him to wait for you in the main maze chamber, so you can leave, ditch a party member, then go back in and pick him up.

Unfortunately without that mod the only way to get Nordom is to have 5 or less party members when meeting him in the maze. Otherwise he's lost forever. And I'm pretty sure you need to start a new game with that mod (although someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that one).

Nordom does have some impact on the story, albeit not as much as other characters. I think you can get him to tell a story to the chick in the brothel (can't remember for sure), and later on if he's in your party there are a couple of encounters where he has unique dialogue. Also there's some banter between Nordom and others which is pretty funny.

Looks like already did that following the recommended settings in the modding guide. Does that mean Nordom will be there even if I reset the maze? I want to grind some experience there.

Well, I dont think I will take him with me anyways. I dont want to give up any other party member. I haven't been playing for 2 weeks now because of business. Maybe in the next play-through.

thank you very much for the answer.

No problem.

If you've installed the fix then when speaking to Nordom there should be an option to get him to meet you somewhere in the cube (which you can get back to later). You can always leave him there (or anywhere else after you recruit him).
