I don't know if it's just me but the game keeps crashing especially when I enter a new area.
For your information, I run it on XP with all recommended mods installed as suggested.
It hasn't gotten to the point of being unplayable but it is curious to see such an old game cause this much trouble.

Infinity Engine games have a long history of these types of crashes. It's often related to corrupt AREA files.

You could try deleting the files in the games /temp and /cache folders.

The widescreen mod can cause problems if you don't restart after installing it, or if you change the resolution during the game, as discussed here
