I need to collect evidence from the warehouse to free the slave woman. Apparently talking to the thief before the other guy is something the game can't handle, so the clerk in the warehouse doesn't give me the dialogue option to retrieve the evidence.

I downloaded a file editor that allows me to change the value of the evidence_papers flag, but I'm not sure what the value is supposed to be. Anyone?

Usually these are set to 0 or 1. So if it has a 0 try setting it to 1 and see if that resolves it. Otherwise, I have no clue.

Managed to solve the problem using the "Infinity Engine Savegame Editor" from here:

Obviously back up your files but mine seem to be working okay.
