This is a difficult issue to describe. I followed the mod guide and installed everything. Unfortunately, when I got to create a new character, as soon as I finish talking to Morte, my game proceeds to continually open up the map. I go to close the map and it immediately opens it again. If I try to go to the menu to stop the map, it forces open an options panel. Has anyone heard of an issue like this before?

I really don't know where to begin. I've tried reinstalling and can get the game to work without mods. However, everytime I try to install the mods, I run into this issue.

I am installing this under Windows 7 on an HP Pavilion m6 laptop.

Make sure you install and run the game with admin rights.

One of the mods obviously breaks the game. Find out which one, by starting with a working vanilla version and successive installation and testing of mods.
