Hello, I recently bought a very fast pendrive for the purpose of playing my favorite games on different pcs, but i ran into a little problem.

I have one pc at home, with 5:4 res of 1280x1024, one notebook at work with a reolution of 1280x800 and my notebook with a resolution of 1920x1080. So if i set a resolution with the widescreen mod I will get an error as soon as i switch to a different monitor format.

The thing i don't get is why this happens if i set the resolution to 800x600 and i play windowed? It should be fine on all three screens.

Any way to make this work?

Thanks a lot
Hi! I've ran into a similar problem with a few other games (Baldur's Gate for one, but that was due to the size of it) and there are only a few possible answers. However your question is a bit more easy to solve so I'll give it a shot.

The most likely reason is the age of the game, since Planescape required very little from a PC even back when it was published and that is indeed the problem on modern PC's! In a way the game cannot be ran on higher than standard resolution due to the hardcoded points in it. As far as I know there is no way to get over the low resolution. However I thankfully found this site. Tell me if you get it to work!

First of all, thank you :)

I looked into the guide, which i found very usefull, because i now know that the problem is exactly the widescreen + ui mod.

If i play the game without them windowed, with the 640x480 resolution everything works fine, but if I install the widescreen mod, as soon as i change pc i get an error. I can't even run the widescreen mod again because i'll get an error durind the reinstallation :(

Guess i have no choice but playing at 640x480, although it's really small QQ
Glad I could be of help! Happy hours of gaming!
