I got a... unique problem with Planescape :Torment ?
Since I've heard that this would be a good Baldurs Gate 2 substitute (which I finished the 5th time in my life I think) and I never came around to play a mage in BG2, I tried to be one here. Thus I put all my stats in Int and Carisma, effectively being useless in melee combat.
So later I found out how to be a mage and after I was done, there was the first big dungeon to master. The one below the city with rat people, bats and zombies.
The skull, the weird man who always emphesizes KNOW and me entered.
I found out quite quickly, that resting was not an option while my spells were used up after 1 minute into the dungeon. I felt quite useless. Every part I could venture to was filled with stuff that killed my fragile mage in a matter of 10 seconds flat. After I used up all my regeneratives and revives, it got pretty frustrating. An early mage has no easy life I guess.
Thats where I decided to cheat. Two options: Either I rebreed TNO in attributes to be a warrior or get rid of the resting restriction. It turned out that there was a way to do the latter. Qwinn's Planescape: Torment Tweak Pack solved all my problems. (http://readme.spellholdstudios.net/QPSTTweaks_Readme.html)
This only works with a fix pack applied beforehand (Ultimate WeiDU Fixpack (http://spellholdstudios.net/ie/pst-fixpack)) which in turn needed the patch 1.1 of P:T.
In addition it stopped my savegames from loading. It was explicitly that fixpack. Both the patch and the tweaks left the game happily loading my saves. But since the tweaks don't work without the fix, I'm stuck.
So... this is my dilemma and cry for help. I don't know what to do anymore.
