I´ve just downloaded the game and right after i click play it shows: assertion failed. No valid video supported :(

I play other games with no problems at all... now whaat should i do??

Did you use widescreen mod? If so - are you sure you put the right numbers? I had a similar case, but I made a small mistake - instead of 1680x1050 I typed "1650x1080" and the game went bonkers.

Oh, so you are using pure vanilla version? Hmm... then take this:

P:T is old game, and altought I usually avoid modding games this one is an exception - quite a bit of stuff improved, including the graphics, so this, probably, could help you.
There is also another option - contact GOG Tech. Support - they sometimes are quite busy and won't answer right away, but they will most definetly try to solve the problem, if the patching/modding doesn't work and no one else come up with something. Just remember about 'em.
