I put 50 hours in Planescape Torment so far and I believe still far from finishing the game. However, I have been taking notes as I play and want to share them and with the community.
GOODS:
• The Nameless One (Aka TNO) regenerates.
• Good healing on other party members on rests. In BG you only healed 1-4 if you are in an inn. Now Morte heals 10 health on rests. TNO heals fully
• No “million kinds of gems” so far which helps the inventory management greatly.
• Amazing Story.
• Lovely quests. Some short, some longer but each feel like you are actually helping someone and changing something in the world. There are a few quests I didnt want to do because it didnt feel like the right thing to do.
MEDIUM:
• The weapon variety is limited, especially with your companions. Morte and Annah can only use very special kinds of weapons and Dakkon, Fall-From-Grace and Ignus does not accept any weapon at all. So if you are a mage and you found a super-awesome weapon for warriors only, there is no way you can use it. To be honest I loved that since I hate dealing with weapons but some may find that lacking.
• Armor? What is that ? :)) I could only find armor for Annah and Fall-From-Grace so far.
•
BADS:
• Lack of mouse wheel usage. Maybe there is a mod somewhere out there that enables us scroll up and down with mouse wheel?
• When you do a quest, it maybe difficult to find in the done quests. There should be option to order by date or name.
• Pressing I in the character screen opens Information page instead of the Inventory page. That is rather annoying when you want to test a few things. (I fixed that by assigning inventory to a different key)
SUMMARY: Amazing game, with great philosophy, alive and large world with huge lore. That is a true Role playing game that every other game should learn something from.
will continue adding stuff as I go....
