So I lost the 'teeth of the fire' weapon in mordron maze.

Basically i tried the evil wizard boss a few times and it wasn't possible for me to beat him in 1 go, so I took out a few of his minions and wiped to him, respawned at the room before you enter the maze, raised dead party members, rested a few times to get to full health, then went back and finished off the rest of his minions along with the wizard himself.

Problem is, I guess party members lose their items when they die? I've had them die before and this never happened, but anyway, that doesn't matter because it happened this time, and I read about a certain time limit the items stay on the ground for, I guess because i rested a few times the item disappeared.

I was using Ingress Teeth before the fire teeth, when i got the fire teeth i dropped ingress teeth as I figured I would never be switching back to them, so now I have a Morte who is on his default, very weak attack.

Anything that can be done? Inserting an item into inventory via console commands or something? I looked around but i can't see any way to bring up a console on this game.

Thanks
This happened to me in his very room. I couldn't find the inventory of my dead comarades on the groud... I reloaded and started the fight again.

Basically, there is no console in Torment. If you can't load a savegame (which is the best solution), you might try the trainers here : http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/Torment/index_editors.php if ou can have them work...

It's sad you droped the Ingress teeth, they are very good actually.
Yeah my problem was my latest auto and quick saves were too recent so I could not go back and redo things.

I tried some of those trainers just now to insert an item, but it doesn't seem to work.

Thanks anyway!
Sorry for your teeth... :( :p

The only teeth left if you can't get Ingress teeth back are sold by Marta in the buried village (but it depends on how you spoke to her when you met her).
I'm sure you could do it with Near Infinity. I remember I had to give myself an item once after losing something for a portal. I'll mess around with it a bit and see if I can figure out how to make it work.
Ok, got it. It should work with Near Infinity. First, make a completely new save because you'll need to overwrite it later and just in case something goes wrong you'll want to avoid messing with any of your unique saves. This should work just fine and shouldn't mess anything else up but you never know. And you'll need a character with an item in their inventory (not the quick slots or anything) that you don't mind losing because the only way I know how to do this is to overwrite another item. It's probably easiest if it's TNO with the spare item.

Hopefully these instructions are easy enough to follow (and sorry if you've used Near Infinity before, in which case they probably sound patronising).

1. Download Near Infinity. http://www.idi.ntnu.no/~joh/ni/download.html And hope you don't need to install Java because that always seems to turn into a painful experience for me.
2. Open Near Infinity (make sure PST isn't running), click the 'Game' menu, then 'Open Game'. Navigate to PST install folder and open 'CHITIN.KEY'
3. Open 'Save', open the new save you made, open 'TORMENT.GAM'
4. Double click on one of player characters listed. The first is probably TNO. Another window will open, click on the 'CRE' tab and you'll see the character's portrait, so you'll know who you've got.
5. Click the 'Edit' tab. Scroll right to the bottom to where 'CRE' is under the 'Attribute' column. Select that row and click 'View/Edit'.
6. Another window will open. Scroll right to the bottom until the see 'Item 0' etc under the Attribute column. Select the junk item you don't mind losing and click 'View/Edit'.
7. Another window will open. Towards the bottom of it you'll see a list of item codes and names. I assume the teeth you want are 'The Teeth of the Fire Drake'. The code is FDTEETH. You can type that in the line above the list or just scroll the list until it shows up. Select it from the list to make sure it enters properly. Then click 'Update Value'. You should see that the 'Item Value' at the top of the window has changed.
8. Close the windows until you're back at the base NI window. Click on any other file listed under the save you opened (e.g. one of portrait files). You should be prompted to save the game. Agree to save and overwrite the file.
9. Open PST, load the save you altered and hopefully the teeth should have replaced whatever item you selected in your inventory.

Obviously, if you have another junk item you can do the same to get Ingress' Teeth back too. There are a few codes for them but try ITEETH or ICTEETH. Again, with a newly created save just in case that's not right.
