UPDATE:
I figured it out. I only replaced '$Current/lib:$Current/lib/i386-linux-gnu' to 'usr/lib:usr/lib' line in the wineshlib file in the wine export section of the file. I didnt change anything else in the file or any other. I did the same thing for Baldurs Gate and it also worked!
Hello all.
I have managed to install Planescape through the gog installer and everything is working fine except it has no sound. No background music or sound effects. After googling linux no sound I found an old thread on this forum which suggested replacing: "$CURRENT/bin/wine" with "/usr/bin/wine" on the wine, wine_virtual and wineshlib files in the wine_standalone folder. After doing this the sound finally worked but when I tried to save a file or load a saved file the game would freeze. I can hear the game in the background but I couldn't see anything but a frozen save screen. I reinstalled the game and Im back to square one. No sound but saves work fine.
Im a new linux user. Running on fedora 24. Any help is appreciated. Also, after spending most of my free time this weekend trying to fix the sound issue Im considering playing the game with the soundtrack playing in the background separately. Would that be ok or should I just play it on windows.
