norton keeps removing wide screen mod 307 wont let me install is it bad file orwhat realy wanted better resolution in game

No, the file is OK - it's just a false positive from your antivirus program. I've been using the files/ mods that are uploaded on the Gibberlings 3 site for years and there wasn't a single problem.

No, you don't want to turn it off all the way! Just turn off Norton's real time protection (i think you can do that by right clicking Norton's icon in the system tray and turn on the silent mode), download the file, install it, add it in the Norton's exceptions list and then turn on Norton's real time protection again. (that is, turn off the silent mode)
