Is it possible to increase the font size to get a font that is physically bigger that it would be at default resolution?

I installed the widescreen mod then Ghostdog's incredible UI mod but saw no discernible difference in dialogue size no matter what size I told the UI mod to make text.

I don't mind increasing the resolution if it would be possible to then make the text so large that it ends up being larger than if I'd have everything at default, but before I spend time trying to establish why the Ghostdog mod isn't working I'd like to know if this is even possible.

TIA
Unfortunately, no. I use Ghostdog's mod and I've installed it on several friends' computers as well and it has always worked like a charm.

Are you using the newest version of each mod and installing them in correct order? Sorry for sounding like a square, but that's all I can think of.
As it happens I was able to make the text larger. Setting resolution at 800x600 and fontsize to120% led to larger dialogue and journal text than in the vanilla game.
