I should probably elaborate on that title, I launch the game once, everything works fine, I quit for some reason, I start it back up and I just get a black screen until I reinstall the DDraw fix. I'm using Windows 8 64bit. Can someone please help me?

DDrawFix is incompatible with the game's built-in software blitter.
If the in-game video setting are changed, and the built-in software blitter is enabled...
typically that causes a black screen.

these should be the values in torment.ini

SoftSrcKeyBltFast=0
SoftBltFast=0
SoftSrcKeyBlt=0
SoftBlt=0
SoftMirrorBlt=0
