I love the Diablo and NWN for their hands on yet not overly involved character building and I'm curious as to how this stacks up. My point being, I like character building but some RPGs can take all day to alocate points EVRY TIME you level up and I'd like to avoid that. Thanks
The leveling in PS:T is actually simpler than that in NWN. When The Nameless One levels up you get one point to spent on increasing one of his stats, and if he's classed as a thief you get some points to spend on thief skills. That's pretty much it. That said, those stat points can have a very significant influence on what dialog options are available (in addition to their more standard effects on combat and spellcasting), so what kind of character you build has a very large effect on what your experience with the game is.
Man I love this forum! You ask a question and you get a strait answer. Forget the games, I just wanna hang out here!
