So, I just downloaded this and Gorky 17. From reading the forums I gather that the latter has major issues and isn't really compatible with Windows 7, so I haven't bothered to post on the forums or contact customer support about it. However, I have the same problem with PS:T as I have with Gorky: Every time I try to start it up, the screen will go black for a few seconds then drop me back to the desktop. If I try clicking on the icon in the taskbar to open it again, I might be lucky enough to get a brief second or two of video, then it drops me back to the desktop again.
I've seen the issue of crashes discussed on these forums, but those usually happen to people who have been able to play the game. I haven't even been able to see a menu screen for either game, and at least PS:T says it's compatible with both Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit (I have Home Premium 64bit). I was wondering if anyone could help me with this, as I've been dying to play this game forever. I keep hearing it's one of the best RPGs ever, but I've yet to be able to experience it.
