I installed PT a while ago and picked up my old game just recently. I installed the reccomended mods after initially installing the game. At the moment I just finished talking to Mebbeth and if I rest before leaving her house the game crashes. Alternately, If I do not rest, but press her on the topic of Pharod when i subsequently try to leave the game crashes.

Not sure what part of the above process it is that made the crash happen, but it happens every single time.

RESOLVED. It was a caching issue that i finally was able to track down.
