I don't seem to be able to progress past even the First Circle with this.

I am a Mage through doing the Mebbeth Quest. My Wisdom is 19, Intelligence 15.

I read through the First Circle, get to the end, close it, speak to Dak'kon about it and it does not give me any option to give him an answer on it. It just lets me tell him I need to think about it more (or want to ask him questions about something else)

Am I doing something wrong/missed something obvious? Has anyone else had this? A google search hasn't yielded up anyone else having the same issue, so I assume it's not a bug and I've just missed something somehow..

Looking through FAQ's, as far as I can tell, I've done everything I need to.

My game is modified with the 'usual' mods having followed the minimal mods guide.

You have to complete all eight circles for Dak'kon to get his upgrade.

You need INT 18 and WIS 19 to unlock and understand the 8th circle. (You can use Charms to boost your INT)

You need 16 INT to discover the 7th circle, and 18 to discover the 8th.

This doesn't explain why you can't get the first to 6th, though... Try travelling somewhere else, maybe?

Yeah, I knew I needed higher INT for the later levels, right now though, I'm just trying to get past the first level.

I've left Mebbeth's and have gone through the Buried Village and now in the Catacombs and have tried with Dak'kon in each location, still no joy.

I haven't seen anything saying that the level of your Mage matters, but mine's at level 4 at the moment.

This is very odd.
Check in with us again when your Intelligence is up? It's a useful stat for a mage anyway.

Damn, I bought a few tattoos and got my INT up to 18 and I'm also now level 5.

So, I'm a level 5 Mage with WIS=19, INT=18 and I still can't get past the First Circle with Dak'kon.

So I just got to be a level 6 Mage and finally the First Circle works!

That's weird. I went through the whole circle to obtain my first several Mage levels. Did the whole thing standing around in the witch's hut!
Well... *sighs* At least it works!

Yeah for some reason, I only get the first seven circles, and Despite having ~25 Int and Wis, can't seem to get to the eighth.

Oof. Thought I had the same problem after finding the 7th circle, and Google led me only here.
I finally discovered I've already got the Missile of Patience spell and just forgot about it. Sorry for necroposting.
