What is the book listed in the bonus extras, and what format is it in? I want to know if its the novelization of Torment that I never actually got around to reading, if it's any good, and if I can actually read it on my B&N Nook.
This question / problem has been solved by Dominusimage
For what it is worth, I was able to email the document to my amazon kindle and now have it in a perfectly readable format. I am assuming the nook operates similarly and if so you should be good.

It states on page 4 that this is not the novelization called "torment". I wouldn't know if that's the one you meant.

It's composed by the same dialogs of the game with some minor editing. It's been a nice read so far because it's almost like replaying the game without the combat elements :-D

I believe the official novel is the one the OP is referring to - that novel is NOT this one, and everything I've heard suggests that this one is superior. Pretty impressive, considering it's just the game dialogue with a bit of extra writing as appropriate. I think it's a .pdf file, though I'm not in a position to check right now.

the original book called Torment is written by Ray and Valerie Vallese, many stated that this is a weak adaptation of the game's story.

the GOG .pdf uses the original text by Chris Avellone and Colin McComb and the novelization was created by Rhyss Hess. Since Avellone was the lead designer of the game I believe this is the best version to read.

also the PDF contains this paragraph:

"This novel has been composed from text copied from the computer game
Planescape: Torment by Black Isle Studios. It was turned into a novel by Rhyss
Hess, and typeset by Lucian Wischik. (There is a separate novel called just
“Torment”, based on the plot and characters of the computer game, and written by
Ray and Valerie Vallesse)."

Does anyone know if this novel lets you read the content's of Fall-from-Grace's diary? I've been obsessed with that thing since the first time I played the game... I want to know what's in it!

A lady has to have her secrets.
Not when she's a video game character. This has been been bothering me all these years...!

Actually there is yet another novelisation available from here. I didn't read either of them yet but based on the two books' endings this other version will be the one I will be reading...

Having thumbed through both of these, I think I prefer the second more; it does a far better job of tying the various dialogues together into a cohesive story, while the one included with the game seems to jump from dialogue to dialogue with a much rougher sense of flow. That said, I have yet to read both in their entirety, though I certainly plan on trying.
