Is the version included in this pack the DOS or Windows version of Pirates! Gold? There was quite a difference in the graphics of those two. I liked the DOS version better but played the 256 color Windows version a lot more as it was a pain to boot to DOS from Windows 95. Also the best versions of Pirates! Gold made were for the Amiga CD32 (TV) and the Sega Genesis. The graphics were more cartoony and the music was much better!

It's the DOS version. As said elsewhere, that release article was quite poorly worded and confusing people.

Good I liked the DOS version better. I have it on 3.5 inch disks here in my office and have the Windows version on CD!
When there is a DOS version and a Windows version of a game, GoG's version will almost always be the DOS version. This is simply because the DOS version is a LOT easier to get running thanks to DOSbox.
Too bad there is not amiga version. It was the best.

I'm quite partial to the PSP release, myself. =)

Used to play the original on my C=64 when it first released. Great game!

Does the Windows version have full-motion-video? The mac powerpc quadra version did.
