Don’t give me that ‘the vault is in our hearts’ crap. I'm a mercenary, and mercenaries get paid. I want my damn money!

The quest in Raedric’s Hold ends with being told to ‘take what you want from the vault.’ But apparently the quest giver had his troll face on and started April Fools early, because the castle doesn't have a vault. I've looked everywhere, twice. Then I hit the Internet to find nobody else has the faintest idea either.

I found no trace of any vault in my game guide either. I think he just meant that you can loot the castle :(
Which I've already done at that point, since after sneaking in, I bluffed Raedric that I side with him, which gave me free entrance to everywhere. I picked th place clean looong before deciding his fate :P

The 'vault' is not a vault in a modern sense. The room (a vault is just a room used for storage) you are looking for is the room off the bedroom -- bottom right (SE) of map -- where the note about ledgers, maps etc. is.

There's barely anything in there, where's the taxes and such? It’s not going to fly with the innkeeper when I slap a few crumbled wine-stained letters on the table after ordering a thirty-two course banquet and drinks all round.
