This game runs very slow. Why the performance of this game is so bad? 2D backgrounds with some 3D characters should run faster if I compare it with other current titles I play on my machine...

Is this a bug (problem with OS X?) or what is the reason for that bad performance? Unfortunately I have not found any settings to reduce the level of detail of the 3D characters or similar...

I'm not surprised. It should be very slow. Your system barely hits the system requirements. Especially the Intel HD Graphics strike me as problematic. This game was made for a dedicated graphics card from AMD/Nvidia leading up to cards like the HD 7700 and GTX 570.
