Hi,
I have recently posted on here about my issues with the 2.0 update for mac and the new Ai mechanic not functioning properly among other issues.

It is now clear from responses on other threads that:
a) 2.0 did not install correctly
b) the delete CodeResources work around works after a fashion
&
c) Ai functionality is utterly non existent in my install.

Moreover, I'd really like to be able to post a support ticket about this but if I get sent around the 'check the FAQ's, my question is not listed, Check the FAQ's' again loop one more time I may kill someone.

So please can a Moderator either help me out or tell me how to get out of the customer support doldrums please? 

Either way I'd appreciate it.

Try reinstalling the game with the latest version, instead of applying the patch. I have the Mac version and had problems with the patch. Reinstalling with the latest full-game download solved all the problems (including missing AI controls).

If you are using Windows or Linux the reinstall process might be more cumbersome, I don't know... But it might be quicker than waiting for support and/or waiting for a new patch to be released.

Ok People, thank you for the help. Looks like a fresh download of the updated version and a reinstall is required.

What a drag. I though I'd left this kinda nonsense behind when I ditched windows back in the 90's

I will, Just as soon as I can get the damn thing to download! As a matter of interest did you download via galaxy or direct link?
I am just wondering if that might somehow make a difference.

its all working fine now after a nice clean download and re-install. Bit of a drag having to go through all of that. I hope you get some joy soon and manage to get everything working for you.

OMG...talk about frying pan into fire...;) If you really enjoy computer games you are definitely in the wrong environment...(Well, you mentioned it...;))

So the only way to get 2.0 working on a mac is to install the entire game again?

This won't overwrite saved games will it?

To reinstall, in Mac, you only need to drag the newly downloaded app into the Applications folder. No big deal. It will overwrite only the application (the game itself) not the user files (saved games, etc.), which are kept separately somewhere in your "Library" folder.

Thanks indibilis. I reinstalled last night with no hitches and no issues with saved games. Looks like this is the best solution for the patch 2.0 problems on mac.
