Hi all anyone know when the expansion will be available on GOG?

I am only a short way in ( about two thirds of the way into the endless paths) and already at level 6 so that that cap is looming a little large on the horizon!

It´s out now. Bought it a few minutes ago and already loading.

do the new features, the class stuff, weapons etc carry back into the original game or is it only in the expansion proper?

I didnt follow the news about this game lately - so this is "part 1" - does it mean we have to buy part 2 separately? and how long is it actually.
I really like this game, but I usually dont buy dlc..

Is going to be another expansion if I remember correctly.

Is included in the original game as they are added with the Patch 2.0.

There are two offer today:

1. DLC PILLARS OF ETERNITY: THE WHITE MARCH - PART I
2. EXPANSION PASS - PILLARS OF ETERNITY: THE WHITE MARCH

I got the expansion pass, however that was from the Kickstarter's days, was a special offer. Something similar happened with the Wasteland 2 editions available at Gog.

P.d. anyone is a little angry with the surprise that you need to download patch 2.0 before updating ? (That or my update is not working)

Not really, an up-to-date version of the base game being a dependency is to be expected for an add-on - patch 2.0 added quite a bit of functionality, which White March probably uses to some degree.

Maybe I'm from the old school (NWN1 and NWN2), but when an expansion is coming out, usually bring all the previous patch to that point, including the one for making the standalone games compatible with the expansion.

Anyway, another reason I still don't like the DLC concept.

Don't blame DLC, blame auto-updates - of course Obsidian presumes everybody has the latest version.

Besides, blaming the fact that Obsidian opted not to bundle DLC with a patch on it being a DLC is a little silly :-P

Hi Everyone,

I've installed Pillars of Eternity today, latest version of the game for Linux, afterwards I installed this expansion.
When I start the game, on the game menu at the bottom right I have indication that Pillars of Eternity is installed, but not the expansion, the expansion has a capital "I" in the center, and when I click on it takes me to the Obsidian webpage to buy it!!
Do I need to complete something, unlock something to be able to play it?
I haven't finished chapter 1, but I'm at lever 7 at the moment.
I didn't get any errors during installation!!!
I've installed it the same way i installed the pre-order bonus items, and the bonus items are there.
Can anyone tell me how the installation of the expansion should be done?
