Hi there,

I'm playing a Cipher (Godlike of Fire) with Psychic Backlash and always when I begin combat this Psychic Backlash strikes my own character just in the start of fight, even when I fight 1 Ice troll (or however it's called in english).

See image of combat beginning it's as if my own character tries to hit himself and that triggers counterattack which couses stun. PS. I play in Polish so: be warned!

A little background:
I have played Pillars for very long time it's been a year since I have started and still I haven't finished, now with both expansions it's even bigger. My point is that my saves went through many versions till now and it might had an impact on soemthing.

Sooo... do anyone knows any soultions?

Thanks in Advance for any help

Known bug, wait for 3.04 patch which should be released... Any year now.

Your answer made me thinking, if actually should have mark your answer as a solution, since actually it's still not solved.

Well solution would be finding the nearest trader/innkeeper and respeccing your character for a price, get rid of the offending talent/skill altogether, and continue playing. But it's not much of a solution really, more of a workaround.

Same crap happened to me, and it made me stop playing the game. Yes, I can re-spec and get rid of it, but really..? After more than a year of patching, and still the game has very serious bugs. Nothing short of very disappointing.

Like the idea of ciphers, though, so well done on that, but I simply scratch my head in wonder at all the strange bugs they manage to introduce with regularity, and from Fenixp's post, it sounds like the solution/patch won't be out for a long, long time yet.

Sadly it seems like the best 'solution' when buying games these days, even for Kickstarted games (without a publisher breathing fire down their necks) is to wait about 2 years before buying the game. Then cross your fingers the patching is complete, and they have manage to remove all the errors. Only buy games on release if you want a career as a beta tester.

And in the patch 3.04 is exactly this bug described, I was worried a little that my class will be forgotten:)
