You most likely didn't patch your game correctly. Try downloading the newest version of Pillars of Eternity and The White March - Part 1 (potentially also Part 2) and install them. Do not download/install any of the patches as the downloads are already the newest version.

I agree with the above advice, it's possible the game didn't patch correctly. I've read that others had strange graphical or gameplay behavior; discolored water, the above mentioned pink discoloration, NPCs "gliding" instead of walking or running, NPCs not moving when selected, et cetera... I myself had Hiravias disappear from my party in all my old saves, that was fixed by redownloading the full 3.02 versions of the 3 installers and reinstalling.
