ok i just got the rum runners package and now i got no clue how to install the the dlc, under backup and godies its not listed, so anyone got any clues on this?
Apparently several users have run into problems with it, at least when trying to install it using the Galaxy client.

Same here. I can tell you, i will never buy a game from GoG again. I couldn't care less that i get games drm free, when
the gaming platform is a steaming pile of horse***.
Dlc is shown as owned on the store page but can't be activated under game settings.
Get your shit toghether GoG. And i thought Origin was the worst gaming platform ever.

Check the topic Santiago linked and there the starter's 3rd step. If you don't know how that works: Go to your account on the GOG website, then to your games and select Pillars of Eternity 2 and look for Rum Runner's Pack in the DLC Downloads.

Same here. Got it last night and thought Galaxy might just take some time to refresh or something, but it's still missing from my list of DLC.

It does show in my gog library when accessed via browser, but I'm not gonna run the Rum Runner's standalone installer when there's a risk it will mess with my (otherwise fine working) Galaxy installation of the game.

Any ideas what could be done about this? Tried logging out and in again in Galaxy last night as well, no luck.

EDIT: Opened a support ticket for this issue, will report back when I get an answer.

Dunno why you'd think there'd be anything at risk in the first place. The downloads on the website are the same as the backup downloads in Galaxy.

Mainly because I don't know how Galaxy will react to that. Especially if I need to verify my game data at a later point.

Anyway, support has responded, and I'm to provide screenshots and a log of the issue. Also, adding other paid or free items to your gog account may trigger a correct refresh of one's account on Galaxy I've been told.
Alright, my issue is finally resolved! Here's what happened:

As instructed, I added a free item to my library via Galaxy (Shadow Warrior Classic Complete). However, after doing so, nothing changed. It did not trigger the refresh of the database.

After quitting Galaxy and running it again later, I decided to try adding another free item (The Silver Case Demo). And lo and behold, while looking at my available Deadfire DLC, the Rum Runners Pack suddenly appears out of thin air! :D

So, for everyone affected by this issue, try adding a few (free) items to your GOG library from within Galaxy, it may trigger the needed refresh of the database and fix your problem. :)

This worked for me as well! After I added the free game I was able to click "Install" for the Rum package, rather than just having a "Buy" button. Thanks! :)

That's a really shitty solution though. What if you have added all free games at some point? An option to "refresh your database" is obviously needed without having to add free games... This is a workaround at best.

And how come the website understands the DLC was added but GOG Galaxy doesn't? Shouldn't they have both the same information? To me this is still nothing but a bug in Galaxy that needs patching.

Exactly. Plus, I can wait another two weeks for the next free DLC to arrive - if the problem ain't resolved till then that might do the trick.

Yes, I agree that this is not an ideal solution. A sort of refresh button was what I was looking for at first as well.

Though I do wonder... how often does this happen? This is the first time I've seen it that bad. The worst I've had happen before was that a refresh took a few minutes, and that was a long time ago.

They should, but it seems Galaxy is working with a (sort of-)synchronized copy of your database entry instead.

Now I'm curious if it could happen the other way around - i.e. you buy a game from inside Galaxy and your 'real' GOG library doesn't show the game at all.

I can confirm this works. I had the install button available immediately after "purchasing" shadow warrior classic.
Rum Runner's Pack does now appear as owned in the Galaxy client. Without doing anything but buying it.
