So, I really like Deadfire, but there's something (and I know it's a silly thing to worry about) that bothers me.
Namely, that there is a recurring expense, which is the food and drink for my crew, but I, so far, haven't found a recurring source of income. And feeding the crew *is* costly - even if I buy the most basic stuff that won't lower morale, that's 20+20 cp for food and drink per day for everyone, meaning that even with a pitiful crew of 7, that's 7*40=280 cp each day. (And 350 with their wages.)
Now, I know I can loot quite a bit of coin and a few expensive items during my adventures, but to me, personally, having a constant expense without a constant, reliable income to cover it causes a kind of anxiety and I feel that I'm rushed to play through the game. I prefer taking my time exploring everything.
(And I know I could just buy the cheapest, morale-lowering items and make up for it with an occasional morale boost, but I don't find this reliable enough.)
So, my question is: is there, form some point, a way to generate a recurring income?
